The iPad (5th Generation), iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4 can create canvases up to 8,192 pixels in either direction, and for the iPad Pro models this limit is increased to 16,384 pixels. The other limit is on any single dimension - width or height. For example, the 12.9" and 11" M2 and M1 iPad Pros and the iPad Air 5 can create a canvas up to 134,217,728 pixels total - around 134 megapixels. The limit on total canvas size can be found by multiplying the two dimensions of any of the below maximum sizes. If you want these lines to be perfectly aligned with one another, draw one line and measure the distance between one of its points to our first middle line, and use this to plot where your second line will go on the opposite side of the page.There are actually two limits on canvas sizes in Procreate, both imposed by the hardware of the iPad model you're using. Next, we’re adding two more angled lines on either side of our central line, the same length with the same technique. Snowflake drawing materials We recommend using pencils to start with so you can erase any mistakes, but you can create your snowflake drawing using just about anything – once their designs are finished, why not let the kids add to their snowflake using glitter glue, pastels or paint? It’s also a fantastic way to get them to sneakily practise their maths skills – snowflakes are generally six-sided and symmetrical in nature, so to get the best out of our design we’ll be using rulers and measuring our lines as we go.

Today, we’ll be walking you through how to make your own snowflake drawing – from the very basic framework, up to something more detailed if you have the confidence to go a bit further.
